Position Overview A highly respected and established law firm in St. Louis County is seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in supporting attorneys through all phases of civil litigation. This role requires strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Draft, review, and prepare litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, motions, and correspondence
Manage case files from inception through trial and appeal, ensuring accuracy and organization
Conduct factual and legal research using online databases and internal resources
Assist with deposition preparation, including summarizing transcripts and organizing exhibits
Coordinate and manage document production, including e-discovery tasks and privilege reviews
Maintain litigation calendars, track deadlines, and ensure timely filings with state and federal courts
Prepare trial notebooks, witness lists, exhibit binders, and other trial materials
Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, experts, and opposing counsel
Support attorneys during hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed
Minimum 3-5 years of litigation paralegal experience (civil litigation preferred)
Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program
Strong understanding of Missouri and federal court rules and filing procedures
Proficiency with legal software such as CaseNet, PACER, e-filing systems, and document management platforms
Exceptional writing, proofreading, and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and work independently
High level of professionalism, discretion, and client-service orientation
